So if you have been following my blog at all, you know I kinda suck at it.  I say that jokingly, but really I am serious too.  I finally realized I love the idea of blogging, of what it can do, and the way it allows for expression and for my clients to see what is going on, but that I HATED the actual process of blogging.  Or at least I thought I hated the process.  It hit me the other day, I hate feeling like I have to blog a certain way.  I hate feeling like I need to show all my pretty pictures, and describe in detail how exactly the shoot came together, and how gorgeous it was and how the outfits were perfectly chosen, and the hair and makeup was done by so and so…. etc etc etc…. I guess what I finally came to realize, was that I was trying to blog like everyone else… or something like that.

Here is the deal.  I LOVE sharing.  I love posting images.  But I love the story that goes with the images.  I love the behind the scenes… not the behind the scenes with me squatted down shooting, but the fun, behind the scenes that lead up to great images.

I also, realized, I love photographing with cameras other than my Digital beast of a camera.  I LOVE Polaroids!!! ( or Fujiroids as a friend calls them).  I think I have actually found my new addiction.. not that addictions are good.. but still, you know what I mean.

So from here on out, things are going to change.  I promise I will post more frequently, but I will be posting the behind the scenes Polaroids from my shoots. I want to tell the stories in my scatterbrained way so that you can get a feel for what it is that I do with my clients/friends!

So, welcome to Outtakes… A new blog by Alexia Wardell Photography!
